Breeding Crested Budgies
I breed one crested bird to a non crested bird and end up with many many crested babies.
For example; out of a an average clutch of 5 eggs that hatched 3 of those birds may be crested. Of the two that are not visually crested (crest bred) when they are paired up to a normal bird their babies can also be crested!!
Crested X Non crested = Many visually crested and non crested birds.
Crest bred X Non crested = Visual and non crested birds.

ENJOYING CRESTED BUDGIES
I just want to say that I am really enjoying my Crested parakeets! I enjoy pairing them up and waiting to see which babies will have crests and which ones will be crest bred not to mention creating the different colors with crests!! |
Crested budgies from a crested father and a regular mother. All four have tuft like crests. |
